Product Reviews

Caleb and I joined a DietBet game for the month of June, and between that and couponing, I've discovered 2 new favorites:

Chobani Flip:

O. M. Goodness.

A smaller-than-usual serving of Greek yogurt with a small pouch of goodies to dump and mix in, often involving chocolate.

These are so delicious. I had a coupon for $1 off 3, and have been finding them on sale all around town since then. I bought 16 in a stock-up sale. They are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. And they are only for me at my house. ;)

Really.

They are good enough for me to want to shout it to my small audience on this blog. ;)

My personal favorite flavor is key lime crumble, but salted caramel pretzel is a pretty good one too.

The only flavors I haven't loved are the coconut and chocolate ones.

Really, is chocolate ever good as the actual flavor of yogurt? Great as a topping, but not the yogurt....blech....

My other new favorite is sweet potato fries!!!

I've had these before at restaurants, but decided to try my hand at making my own. After burning the first batch but still being able to taste their deliciousness underneath it, I've made several good batches in the oven, and now I've decided to keep sweet potatoes on hand....and have split one with Caleb for the last 3 nights at dinner. LOL!

So there you have it.

A pointless post.

Go try the Chobani Flip. Seriously.

Itchy

It's been about 3 months since I was heavily involved in my eBay work.

And......

I'm going crazy not doing something like this.

I didn't think I'd miss it! I wasn't making much money. But, I did it for less than a year and still broke even, which I think is pretty impressive for a first go. I learned a lot and think I could come out ahead if I were to start up again.

Every time I'm at a yard sale and see a nice maternity top, or see someone post on FB that they're selling all their maternity clothes, I almost jump at the chance, but have to hold myself back.

I don't have the beautiful red brick backdrop in my home any longer to take great photos of the clothing.

The clothes took up a TON of space in our last apartment, and we're finally living clutter free here. Don't really want that problem again.

However, I do have a storage room here.......

Hmm....

I just really want to do something with my time that feels productive, like I've accomplished something that can be readily seen, something that makes a little $$. Something that takes 10-20 hours out of my week.

I really enjoyed how selling on eBay made me FEEL! I was giving other women a great deal on clothing they were specifically looking for and needed.

Yesterday, I applied to a job as a DietBet referee. Remote, at home position.

I don't expect anything to come of it, but I did it.

And I've been looking at other options, such as SAT essay scoring, teaching English in China via Skype, learning to code, etc.

Am I crazy?

Probably.

Thoughts?

Such a Good Deal

Ok, I get it - couponing is not really that exciting. But it excites me!

I was at Walmart yesterday, doing a really big stock-up grocery trip. I have really only been purchasing to get by the last month or so.

I was in the hair care aisle, with my Ibotta app open and looking at some Dove Shampoo. The fancy regenerative stuff, which was $4.98 each, had a $1 off coupon for the shampoo and another for the conditioner. I wasn't planning on using it. But then one shampoo had a buy one get one free coupon attached to it. !! Woohoo!

So, I paid $4.98 for both in-store, then got $2 back in the app. Then I opened the SavingStar app and decided to try using their $3 off for 2 Dove products. I didn't think they'd approve it, but figured I'd give it a try.

And they approved it!

So other than tax (which I don't know off the top of my head), I got paid $.02 to purchase fancy Dove shampoo. So I probably paid around .30-.50 overall.

Score.
