Family History - I Am Doing it!

Well, I'd like to be doing it.

I started looking at my pedigree chart again on familysearch.org today.  There are so many people who are missing.

Also, while I'm out here on the east side of the country, I'd like to take advantage of being able to access records for ancestors from the 1600-1700s.  For example, the first Whiting from my line who immigrated to America came from England in the early 1600s.  He helped found Hartford, Connecticut and is listed on their founding fathers page.  Hartford is 5 hours from here, and their page says that some of his original letters are kept in the state archives there.  I'm sure if I flash them my ID with my exclusive name I'd be able to get in and take pictures.

Probably.

I want to get some of those huge binders and start filling it in with all the possible information I can find.  I know my mom has already gathered lots of information on her family; it now needs to be filled into Family Search so that everyone can access it.  And my dad's family has filled in everyone back to Adam, I am sure.  There are a lot of holes in my pedigree chart, but I know that someone else has already found that info; it just needs to be corrected or uploaded.

Who wants to start sending me stuff?!

Magical

I bought a can of pumpkin today.  And there is a bag of semi-melted-together chocolate chips in my hot kitchen.  And all the other works for making fall pumpkin treats and goodness.

I'm heading to work tonight, so I don't exactly have the time to cook up any of these treats.

Here's to hoping the baking fairy comes while I'm gone!
