We went to Alex Boye's concert here on Friday.  It was a lot of fun!  I expected a good fun show, which is what we got, but I was surprised when most of the songs were religious based.  There was a really good feeling at the concert, which was backed up by the USU Chamber Singers.  It was 2 1/2 hours, and we didn't get out of the concert until after 10 o'clock.

He told stories about many of his songs, how he wrote them, how they got the music videos together, etc.  And he performed "Peponi" live with the music video with the Piano Guys in the background on a big screen!  It was a lot of fun.

Here is one of the songs he performed.  It was beautiful:

Not Political

This video probably swings toward the conservative side more, but I'd say this is just plain funny.  For those of you who haven't seen this yet:

Good Morning!

Before leaving for work this morning, I checked my e-mail.  I was greeted with a message from FedLoan Servicing.

They were kind enough to let me know that they had just received word from my university that I had graduated!  Congratulations!

......and your first payment on your loans is due in 2 1/2 weeks.

Why I Don't Have a Great Job Yet

A typical job posting on my off-campus job board might go a little something like this:

Wanted:  A detail-oriented person to work in a fast-paced office as our front desk manager.  Must have 5+ years of experience, proficient knowledge of 6 completely different forms of bookkeeping software, and be able to stand on your head for 5 minutes while rubbing your belly and playing the ukelele.  Wage:  7.25 + potential to move up after 18 months.

Wanted:  We would love a loving, professional, sweet caregiver in our home while we attend school.  We have 4 children, ages 1 month, 18 months, 3 years, and 7 years.  Must be CPR certified, have food handlers' permit, own transportation, and be willing to take them to lessons, help them with homework, take them to the bus stop, and prepare all meals and do light housework.  Hours (non-negotiable):  6:45-7:30AM, and 1:15-6:30PM, M-F and some late evenings.  Wage:  $200/month + meal at dinner time.

Wanted:  I need an undraped model, will work 3 weekends for an art project I am currently working on.  Can't pay you, but willing to give a photocopy of my work after it's done.

Any takers?
